BOARD 01THE FOUR DUTY STATUSES
OFFOff duty
Relieved of all work and responsibility for the truck and load. Counts toward required rest.
SBSleeper berth
Resting in a qualifying sleeper berth. Counts toward rest and toward 7/3 or 8/2 splits.
DDriving
Time at the controls of a commercial motor vehicle in operation. Counts against the 11 hours.
ONOn duty, not driving
Working but not driving: inspections, fueling, loading, paperwork. Uses window and cycle time.
